The act of dedicating children to the Lord was a common practice of blessing among the people of God in both the Old and New Testament periods. In addition, it was also a statement of recognition on the part of the parents that their child really belongs to God.
This act of dedication is tied to the Biblical mandate (Deuteronomy 6) to raise up children with Biblical values. Therefore, it must be understood that while we live in a culture of non-traditional families, the family unit should be in congruence with Scripture (a married husband and wife or a single parent living alone).
Please take a few moments to complete this request form. Child Dedication will take place at both campuses: Chesterfield on Saturday, May 8 & 9 and Fenton on Sunday, May 9. You will receive an email confirmation when your registration is complete.
Please Note: Due to the planning that is required, the registration deadline is Monday, April 12, 2010.
